Dance is a fun way to get exercise and lose weight. It burns an average of 500-600 calories during each class, which is more than running for the same amount of time. What’s more, dance classes are not only about moving your body but also developing strong mental skills like discipline and self-confidence.

- Find your favorite style of dance that you enjoy doing most – for example: I love tap dancing because it’s so lighthearted and energetic! Tap dancers need quick feet which makes them fast runners too! It may seem like an unusual choice at first but this type of exercise could make you faster on your feet in other areas too.
- Find an exercise buddy who is as committed as you are so that you can motivate each other to stay active all week long!
- Stop thinking about how much weight you want to lose and focus more on what feels good for YOUR body type right now (easing up if needed!)
- Get outside more often- take walks instead of driving everywhere or go out dancing at night as we mentioned earlier
