Question: 
Do I need to pre register for any of the lessons?
Answer:
NO.  You do need to arrive early - at least 30 minutes.  After your first class you should arrive 15-30 minutes before the lesson begins.

Do I need a partner to attend the dance lessons? 
Answer: 
Definitely NOT!!

A partner is NEVER needed for any of our lessons (or parties)!!

Answer:
Sunday:  Come to our West Coast Dance Lessons!!
Monday:  Our "Club Night Out" at Walters
Tuesday:  Our "Club Night Out" at Radcliff's
Wednesday:  Come to our West Coast Dance Lessons!!
Thursday:  Come to our East Coast Dance Lessons
Friday nights the Dance Party at our club is the place to be. 
Saturday:  Our "Club Night Out" at Denim & Diamonds or 12th Street Lounge, Downtown Marriott

Answer: 

Sunday Afternoon Lessons
Sign in - 12:30 pm
6-Count basic - 1:00 pm (Beginners)
 8-Count basic - 2:00 pm (When you've mastered the 6-count)
Open Dancing - 3:00 pm (PRACTICE)
Beyond Basics - 3:30 pm (When You've mastered the 8-count)
Advanced Concepts - 4:30 pm
 General Dancing - 5:30 pm
Wednesday Evening Lessons - Repeats the 1st three hours of Sunday's lessons
6-Count basic - 7:00 pm
8-Count basic - 8:00 pm
Beyond Basics - 9:00 pm

Question: 
When should I begin West Coast lessons? 
Answer: 

West Coast Lessons are taught in 4 week series
Each series starts on the first Sunday and the first Wednesday of each month. It is important to join the lesson series in the first week. You should complete the 6-count series before moving into the 8-count series. Both of these should be completed before any of the other classes. The lessons are numbered on our Calendar.  See the flyer "Magic Shoes" for more details.

When are the East Coast lessons
Answer: CANCELED until furthur notice.  May return at a later date.

Join us Thursday evenings for Big Band Street Swing Lessons
It is important to begin the lessons 
on the first Thursday of the month.  Always arrive a little early - you wouldn't want to miss anything!!
(East Coast Swing)
with Toi Shaw  continues!!

6:30 pm to 7:30 pm............Beginners - review class for Big Band Street Swing for swing kids and adults alike! You must attend this class before continuing to the intermediate class. (Stay in this class at least one month.) We will go beyond the basics in this first class, so don't worry about getting bored!
  7:30 pm to 8:30 pm...........Intermediate/Advanced for those who have completed one month of the beginning class. The instructions in this class will be accelerated, addressing different swing dance rhythms, many pattern variations.
  8:30 pm to 9:30 pm...... Advanced Street Swing for those graduating from the above two classes and who are ready and able to learn advanced patterns and style.
FEES:  $3 for one class 
$5 for two classes
all three classes for only $6 !

When am I "good enough" to attend to "CLUB NIGHT OUT" or the Friday Night Parties? 
Answer: 
After just one lesson - They are a GREAT place to practice and learn from more experienced dancers.  We've all been beginners!!  So, come on out!!  We'd love to have you!

Do I have to be a member before I can take a lesson? 
Answer: 
No.   See Bylaws - Membership for membership information.

What do the lessons cost? 
Answer: 
Regular Lessons  -West Coast - (Sunday & Wednesday) - $  3 (members) -  $  5 (nonmembers) 
                      (Fee includes any or all regular lessons for that day.) 
Special Series lessons vary.  See the lessons/fees for information.
 $ 3 each Session -  or $ 6 for all three-WHAT A BARGAIN!! 
 Regular Friday Dances   (8:30 pm - Midnight)   $  3 (members) -$  5 (nonmembers)

WORKSHOPS:

What level are the workshops? 
Answer:  This always depends on the workshop.  Most can be attended by any level of dancer - from beginner to advanced.  Check out the schedules - see what they say.  Even beginners can learn from workshops.

Do I need to pre register for workshops?
Answer:
SOME  workshops are limited to a certain number of people.  Others aren't.  IF there is a limit, I will post the information on the workshops page and it will be in our newsletter (FootNotes).  Some workshops require registration beforehand but do not have any limits.

What is the cost of the workshops? 
Answer: 
The cost of the workshops vary.  I always publish schedules & fees as soon as I receive the information.

Where are the workshops held? 
Answer:
Most of them are at our clubhouse.  Some are out of town - at another dance club's location.  I'll always state WHERE the workshop is to be held.
